ABOUT US
Based on the ideology of tolerance and respect, the Chabad Center provides the opportunity for all Jews to acquaint themselves with their heritage. The Chabad Center has been founded on the all-encompassing philosophy of the Torah, to “Love thy neighbor as thyself” — loving and respecting all mankind.
We are committed to the spiritual and physical enhancement of the Jewish people by providing the opportunity for any Jew, regardless of background or affiliation, to study the philosophy and practice of Judaism at his or her own pace, as taught in the Torah, Jewish law and philosophy.
To facilitate this, the Chabad Center offers meaningful and stimulating educational programs for men, women and children of all ages and levels of interest and commitment.
The Chabad Center is an affiliate of the Chabad Lubavitch movement. The movement has established ALMOST 4,000 centers worldwide under the leadership and guidance of Rabbi Menachem M Schneerson.
The Rebbe has taught us not to underestimate the true value of each individual and every good deed; each act of goodness and kindness playing an important role in bringing about the ultimate purpose of creation: a world of perfection.
Our mission also includes promoting the awareness of G-d and morality for all of mankind.
ARE YOU IN NEED OF HELP?
Are you in physical, emotional, or spiritual distress? Do you know someone in our community who is in need of a little extra love, care or assistance?
No matter what it may be - with G-d's help we will try and assist. Please contact the Rabbi via email or phone (the contact information may be found on the contact page)
MEMBERSHIP
At Chabad of Sussex County we have always welcomed every Jew with open arms, regardless of background, affiliation or financial means. Members and non-members alike sit side by side. This is a core value of our center that we hope to always maintain.
But membership also has its advantages. Membership in a congregation makes you feel good about being a partner in supporting the financial obligations of the organization that serves your Jewish and spiritual needs. It means that you have a share in the Mitzvah of offering every single Jew in Sussex County the opportunity to partake in, and learn about our wonderful heritage. It means that you are keeping Judaism alive, and seeing it continue to the next generation.
MEMORIAL WALL
Our Memorial Wall is now available thanks to Jeffrey DeChacon who donated the wall in loving memory of his mother. If you would like to memorialize a loved one by purchasing a plaque on the wall, please call our office. The cost of a Memorial Plaque is $250.00 per name.
DONATIONS
Helping people grow spiritually, sharing the messages of Judaism, ensuring that Judaism is continued to the next generation, giving hope and showing people that we care for them in their time of need is the ultimate purpose of our Center. Your contribution will enable us to share this message to our community. Please support our vision and work through your generous contribution.
